VRTS started with a simple question.

What actually makes great cycling kit?

After getting back into cycling, I found myself buying products from all the big brands. Some were excellent. Some left me wondering what I was really paying for.

So I stopped looking at the logo and started looking at the product.

I spent months learning about fabrics, chamois pads, stitching, construction and manufacturing. I wanted to understand what genuinely improved comfort and performance, and what was simply there because it always had been.

Eventually, one question kept coming back.

Why can’t you buy great equipment without paying extra for a famous name?

That’s why I started VRTS.

This isn’t a big company. It’s just me, building the cycling brand I wanted to buy from.

Every product starts the same way:

Would I spend my own money on this?

If the answer is no, we don’t make it.

We’re happy to invest in better fabrics, better construction and better components when they genuinely improve performance. We don’t believe a higher price should come from the name on the label alone.

VRTS is built for riders who care about how something performs, not how loudly it announces itself.
